Elder & Lead Pastor
I was blessed to be trained for pastoral ministry through my time at Western Baptist College, and then at Northwest Baptist Seminary. In addition to that formal education, I enjoyed serving as an assistant pastor for 14 years with both Valley Bible Church and Edgewood Bible Church. And then, in 2010, my wife Amy and I were sent with a team of wonderful people from Edgewood Bible Church to plant Redemption in Bonney Lake.
I am committed to making disciples of Jesus who make disciples, and I’m blessed to use Christ-exalting, Gospel-centered, expository preaching as a central focus in that pursuit. In addition to serving as one of the Elders at Redemption, I am devoted to loving and leading my wife, along with our two precious, amazing daughters, Rylie and Anna.

Elder & Assistant Pastor
I have been involved in pastoral ministry since becoming an intern at Redemption Bible Church in 2016. In 2018, I was brought on staff as a Ministry Assistant. I am currently an Elder Candidate, and am finishing up my doctrinal work and testing to be ordained as a Pastor, God willing, at Redemption Bible Church in March of 2019. I am involved in many of the ministries at RBC. Among them are regular opportunities at preaching, scripture reading and prayer, and regular rotation as a member of the worship team and occasional worship leader. I am also the ministry head for our Youth Group and Nursery. I enjoy playing guitar, oil painting, reading and watching really bad obnoxious movies (and good ones too.) I have been married to my wife, Mechelle for 8 amazing years, and we live in Puyallup, WA with our three boys: Samuel, Henry, and Paul.

I was born in eastern Washington in a military family. After high school I enlisted in the US Air Force where I came to know the Lord and desired to follow him. While in the Air Force I worked in electronics, communications, and computer systems. During this time God continued His work in my life to love His Word and His church. One blessed gift He has provided in my life is my bride and best friend, Carol. After retiring I worked as a consultant, taught analytics and analysis, and worked in data/knowledge management while continuing to be involved in church leadership. I have served at several churches as an elder or deacon in the areas of music, worship, teaching, and finances. It truly is a blessing to see God’s hand and will at work and I am thankful I can serve as God enables!

I am a native of Pierce County. My wife Jill & I discovered Redemption Bible Church when we moved to the Tehaleh community. We quickly saw this as a friendly church that teaches the Bible where we could also grow and serve. We have four children and three grandchildren. Now retired from working for Pierce County, I was previously a teacher and have served in public office. I graduated from Puyallup High School and Western Washington University.

Serving in the church has long been a central facet of my life, and I have been blessed over and over by the opportunity to worship, volunteer, and work at RBC since finding it in 2013. Especially as it allows me to work from home, where I also take care of two great little boys, Grady and Elijah, alongside an even greater man, my husband Kyle. From a psychology degree at Northwest University, to my varied array of jobs, I've enjoyed looking back to see how God laid the path for me to end up here. I have a small obsession with spreadsheets, I love writing in most any form, and I believe that family goes far beyond biology-- and I love that this work that allows me to be immersed in all of that and more.

I love being able to serve the church in an organized and efficient way. I enjoy helping people stay connected and on task when things become fast paced or go a million different directions, as ministry tends to do! Being a homemaker the last 4 years, has lent me the skills to be able to roll with the punches, problem solve, and add a little humor into the mundane everyday responsibilities. Jesus has been faithful in my life and in turn, I’m blessed to have the opportunity to serve His church, to His Glory.
